DIY Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse

Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse

An ACV hair rinse acts as a cleanser, revitalizer, and conditioner. They are great for people who use natural shampoo bars, like me. (I use this shampoo bar).

Apple cider vinegar can:

            Help with frizz and tangles.

            Decrease dandruff and residue.

            Add body and shine.

            Cleanse hair follicles.

Herbs for Hair

I have chosen 3 herbs for an added boost of hair benefits. You can add different herbs like rosemary (for hair strength) and thyme or yarrow (for oily hair) but this is what I had on hand.

Lavender- soothes the scalp, fights inflammation, balances, oil production, & adds natural fragrance

            Chamomile- helps naturally highlight hair

            Calendula- conditions hair

You can add essential oils if your skin can handle them. Just use a few drops into already made ACV rinse and shake the jar before you add it to wet hair. Use good quality essential oils!

Bring the jar of ACV rinse into the shower with you in a mason jar with a lid* optional or a squirt bottle. Shampoo your hair as usual and rinse. Pour ACV rinse onto roots little by little and work your way to the ends. Massage it all in. Leave in your hair for a minute or two. Rinse out!
