Hydrating Citrus “Soda”
Citrus fruit is high in vitamin C and electrolytes. Adding fresh citrus juice like lemon, orange, lime, and grapefruit can create a lovely hydrating drink to enjoy anytime of the year. Here is a wonderfully easy recipe that can replace that harmful soda in your fridge. It is kid-friendly and super delicious!
Ingredients Needed:
2-3 Cups of Sparkling Water
2-4 Tablespoons of Maple Sugar, Maple Syrup, Honey, or Cane Sugar
Juice of 1 lemon & 1 lime
Zest of ½ orange
Kitchen Items Needed:
Large glass cup (32 oz is ideal)
Spoon
Directions:
1. Combine citrus juices, orange zest, and sweetener to a large glass and stir to combine.
2. Add sparkling water to glass.
3. Add ice if desired and enjoy!
