Homemade Creamed Corn Recipe
I love when fresh sweet corn is in season! It just hits the spot to almost any meal in my book. Fresh, in-season sweet corn trumps frozen corn any day but either will work in this recipe. There is no flour in this recipe as I feel it is unnecessary. This creamed corn recipe can be paired with any meat. It is so delicious and so easy to make. I hope you enjoy it as much as me and my family do!
Ingredients:
5 Ears of Corn- Kernels removed
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream OR Half and Half OR Whole Milk
3 Tablespoons Butter
1 Teaspoon Salt
Splash of Chicken Broth or Water
Directions:
Melt butter in a Dutch oven or different kind of medium pot
Add corn kernels and sauté for 2 minutes
Add broth/water and cook for another few minutes until corn is tender
Take pot off heat and add in cream/half & half/milk
You can leave it as is/ blend all with immersion blender/ quick pulse with immersion blender for chunkier finish/ or take half of the creamed corn and blend it with a blender then add it back into the pot
