The BEST Lemonade Recipe

The Best Lemonade Recipe, Flavorful Lemonade Recipe,

When summertime comes so do the lemons! I usually wait all winter to buy lemons until they are in season in the USA. I always buy organic lemons when I can since the commercial lemons taste like chemicals in my opinion. I have made a lot of lemonade in my time since having 3 children. I have played around with different flavors like strawberry and raspberry, but classic lemonade really hits the spot! I have found a way to make the most flavorful lemonade without adding unnecessary flavors or ingredients. The trick is in the directions. I want to share this with you so you can be the talk of the cookout when you bring a huge pitcher of this tasty lemonade. It’s super simple to make. I hope you enjoy it!

This recipe makes enough to fill 1 pitcher. I made a half-batch in the photo above.

KITCHEN TOOLS:

Pitcher

Stirring Spoon

Bowl

Strainer

INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice from about 6 Large Lemons

1 Cup Sugar or more depending on your taste

10 Cups of Water

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut all of your lemons in half and juice them. Place 1 or 2 lemon halves into your pitcher. (This is the secret to delicious flavorful lemonade, the lemon oils from the rind!)

  2. Pour your lemon juice into your pitcher.

  3. Add your water and sugar and stir until dissolved.

  4. Pour into glasses over ice!

MORE FLAVORS:

You can make many different versions of this lemonade. Just keep the recipe as it is and add in extra ingredients like raspberry puree, strawberry puree, or muddled mint leaves.

Raspberry Lemonade: Add about 3/4 cup fresh raspberry puree

Strawberry Lemonade: Add about 3/4 cup fresh strawberry puree

Mint Lemonade: Add in 1/2 cup fresh muddled mint leaves. Tip- Don’t leave the mint leaves in overnight, they start to brown and don’t look appealing. Just let them infused into the lemonade for an hour or so then scoop or strain them out.
